Another year is coming to a close, and that means another year of insurance benefits is about to expire. If you haven’t taken advantage of your dental insurance yet, that’s okay, but the year is almost over, so the time to use them is now. To help you prepare, we’ve put together some information about how dental insurance at our practices!

WHAT DENTAL PLANS TYPICALLY COVER

2 Routine Checkups.

If you’ve only seen the dentist once this year, you’re probably missing out on another cleaning that’ll cost you nothing out of pocket! In addition to exams & X-rays, most dental insurance will cover 2 routine checkups each year. At your checkup, we do more than just clean away plaque and tartar to make your smile squeaky clean – we can also identify gum disease, oral cancer and sometimes symptoms of other conditions like acid reflux or diabetes.

Treatment discounts.

If you’re putting off treatment due to concerns about cost, the best time to start is right now! This is especially true if you’ve already met your deductible and haven’t hit your annual maximum. Once your deductible is paid, your out-of-pocket expenses can decrease dramatically, making it an ideal situation for larger dental treatments.
